The purpose of the Danish Child Cancer Foundation is to increase information about cancer in children, to strengthen research in methods of treatment and to improve the lives and conditions for these children.
In Denmark, 150 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. 30 years ago almost every one of them died. Today three out of four children are cured. Our goal is to cure every child with cancer. In order to reach this goal we need funds to strengthen the ongoing research and to educate qualified specialists in childhood cancer. Furthermore, we need money to help the families by giving the children memorable moments to help them cope with the difficult time of treatments and hospitalisation.
The Danish Child Cancer Foundation relies solely on donations and voluntary gifts from private individuals, other foundations, companies and associations. We need all the help, we can get.
