While Nicklas Bendtner today launched a brand new website designed to help raise money for The Danish Child Cancer Foundation, the Danish Arsenal striker also started his own personal Facebook page. Here, fans from around the world can meet and discuss Nicklas Bendtner’s performance on the pitch and his life away from the pitch. Nicklas Bendtner will be updating the page with personal comments.
"I have not had a Facebook profile before, but people around me have been talking about Facebook for a long time, so now I'm giving it a try. I'm looking forward to developing a more personal relationship with the many people who follow my career. Maybe I'll even get some tips on how to score more goals," laughs Nicklas Bendtner.
When Nicklas Bendtner is unable to update his Facebook page himself, his father and agent, Thomas Bendtner, will take over. Readers will be able to see this, as the status updates from Thomas Bendtner will end with "/TB". This goes for two other administrators as well - René Kucza "/RK" and Mikkel Dahlqvist "/MD". This will ensure regular updates and exclusive insights from the world of Nicklas.
To create activity on the Facebook page, Nicklas Bendtner will be holding small competitions in which readers can win cool prizes.
