Japanese goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima will have a busy night tonight according to Nicklas Bendtner. The Danish striker will use his powerful form to put the Japanese defence under massive pressure.
“Both teams have a lot at stake. The winner goes further in the tournament, while the loser has to go home. I am not ready to go home from South Africa yet, and Kawashima will know that tonight. I will seek every chance and challenge the Japanese defence every time I receive the ball. The Japanese will not get a quiet moment," says Nicklas Bendtner.
Nicklas Bendtner states that the key to a Danish victory may lie in playing high balls.
"We have to focus on attacking, and then we have to exploit our vertical superiority. We must have plenty of high balls into the box and in that way put maximum pressure on them," he says.
The 195 cm tall striker is not afraid of giving punters directly from the Danish camp.
"If I were to put a little savings on the match tonight, then I would bet 2-0 to Denmark. I will score the opening goal, and if all goes well I will also take the second one," Nicklas Bendtner laughs.
The match is played at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg at 8:30 p.m. local time.
